Broadcast and public radio experience
Mark spent 14 years with the BBC in London and around the world, then held leadership roles at WNYC (New York Public Radio) and WAMU, two of the country’s leading NPR stations. That newsroom experience still shapes the way he listens: find the real point, ask the question that moves the conversation forward, and make sure the audience has what it needs to understand why it matters.
A producer and coach for meaningful work
Today, Mark works with organizations, experts and independent hosts on podcast launch, episode production, video, media skills and presentations. Whether the work begins with a rough idea or an established series, he brings practical production experience and an editor’s judgment to the decisions that make it clearer and more useful.

Mark has taught journalism, podcasting and video production at Georgetown University and American University since 2001. His coaching gives people room to practice, hear what is working, and improve the choices that shape a message, interview or recording before it reaches an audience.
